Genoa Black has added to their growing team with three key appointments across the Aberdeen and South Queensferry offices.
The new additions come at a time of significant growth for the marketing company, who achieved a turnover increase of 34% from the previous financial year and was recently appointed by key clients Safewell Solutions, Scottish Development International and The James Hutton Institute.
With a predicted 50% increase in turnover for the next financial year, Genoa Black is continuously expanding and to support its growth ambitions, Kim Ironside has been appointed as Development Director based out of the company’s Aberdeen office. Kim brings extensive Oil and Gas expertise to the Genoa Black team, strong commercial acumen, project management excellence and business development expertise that will enhance growth across the business.
Kim said, “My recent career change was driven by a desire to support businesses in achieving growth targets; I was impressed by Genoa Black’s ability to provide impactful results for start-ups through to large corporate clients. With an increasing global presence, Genoa Black has achieved significant success over the past 3 years across a range of sectors. I am both delighted and excited to be joining a company with such a strong vision, big ambition and such a talented and experienced team.”
In South Queensferry, Fiona Simpson and Sylwia Kaminska have been appointed Digital Marketing Manager and Project and Data Administrator respectively. With over 10 years experience in public sector communications and marketing, Fiona brings invaluable digital skills and expertise to the team and will support the team in the delivery of digital projects across the full client portfolio.
Sylwia’s experience in administrative and project support in the highly-demanding Oil and Gas industry will significantly benefit the team with the coordination and organisation of client and project operations.
The three appointments will support Genoa Black’s growth ambitions across Scotland and further enhance its classic marketing approach to strategy and brand development, talent investment, and the service quality provided by the company.
Founder and Managing Director of Genoa Black, Claire Kinloch, said “This is an important period of growth for Genoa Black and we are delighted to welcome Kim, Fiona and Sylwia, each with new specialist expertise and industry experience to offer the team and our clients and who will all support our growth ambitions and key strategic business initiatives moving forwards.”
