THE headliner for the 2021 Aberdeen International Comedy Festival has been unveiled today as Katherine Ryan.

The Canadian comic will take to the stage of the Music Hall in Aberdeen on 8 October 2021 as part of her national tour with her brand-new live show Missus.

All being well, the 2021 Aberdeen International Comedy Festival will return to venues throughout the city centre from 30 September to 10 October.

Katherine Ryan is a huge coup for festival organisers Aberdeen Inspired, who have been working hard to grow the festival since it launched in 2016.

Shona Byrne, Aberdeen Inspired project manager, said: “In normal circumstances, we would have currently been halfway through the 2020 Aberdeen International Comedy Festival this week.

“The festival has become a firm favourite in the north-east in recent years within both the local community and visitors to the city. We are committed to building on this with the safe return of the festival in autumn next year, with an exciting range of top UK and international comedians joining the line-up alongside Katherine Ryan.”
