John Milne has been promoted to General Manager, while Jim McGregor joins the company as Project Manager.

Mr Milne, who has 27 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, joined Hiretech in 2014 as Engineering Manager. Following this recent promotion, he is now responsible for overseeing the company’s day to day operations, including coordinating equipment schedules, resources and staff.

Referring to the promotion, Mr Milne said “I am delighted to have been offered and to accept this new role. Having worked with the team here for nearly three years, I believe the level of commitment and service offered to our clients is one of the company’s major strengths and I intend to ensure this continues alongside the ongoing supply of high standard, reliable product packages”.

Bringing with him 36 years of global oil and gas experience, the majority of which has been spent in employment at an oil service company, Mr McGregor joins Hiretech in the new role of Project Manager, in which he is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, frequently interacting with the client base to ensure efficient and effective solutions.

Mr McGregor commented, “I am excited to join such a forward thinking and innovative company and look forward to working with the team here. I have used Hiretech as a supplier in past roles and was encouraged by the reactive nature of the business, always willing to go the extra mile for their clients. I look forward to the new challenges this role will bring and to contributing to the ongoing success of the business.”

These appointments follow the recruitment of Steven Ferguson, Business Development Manager last year. Since starting at the company, Steven has been responsible for developing key accounts with existing and potential clients, and driving sales activity to expand the business in various markets.

Managing Director of Hiretech, Andy Buchan, added, “We have brought together a strong skillset with a wealth of operational, technical and commercial expertise to help drive the business forward. I am excited about these developments and look forward to working with the team as we continue to cultivate client relationships and capitalise on new business opportunities whilst developing our services across global markets”.
