The story revolves around Tracy Turnblad, an aspiring dancer with big dreams of television stardom and winning the heart of teen idol Link Larkin.

As Tracy gains local fame, she uses her platform to advocate for liberation, tolerance, and racial unity in Baltimore.

Aberdeen Performing Arts Director of Programming and Creative Projects, Ben Torrie, describes Hairspray as “irresistibly fun, uplifting entertainment” that celebrates “big hair, big hearts and big dreams”.

Tickets for Hairspray at His Majesty’s Theatre are now available for purchase. They can be obtained through the Aberdeen Performing Arts website, by phone, or in person at the box office of His Majesty’s Theatre or the Music Hall.

This production of Hairspray promises to be an entertaining and uplifting experience, perfect for brightening up the January season in Aberdeen
