The journey of the Holistic Wellness Conference, from its humble beginnings as a simple Mother’s Day
Out meet-up to a comprehensive and transformative event, is a testament to the power of
community, personal growth, and holistic well-being. This year’s conference, held at the luxurious
Ardoe House, Hotel and Spa in Aberdeen, Scotland, marked its fourth edition and was a resounding
success, bringing together a diverse array of speakers and participants from around the world.
The event was anchored by a lineup of inspiring keynote speakers, each bringing a unique
perspective on wellness and personal development. Eden A. Onwuka, a two-time cancer survivor,
certified speaker, trainer, and coach, delivered a powerful keynote address that resonated deeply
with attendees. His insights into resilience, personal growth, and overcoming adversity were both
empowering and motivational, setting the tone for the rest of the conference.

Dr. Oge took the stage to emphasise the critical importance of health and wellness for women,
advocating for regular check-ups and the practice of self-care. Her session highlighted the need for
women to prioritise their health in the midst of their busy lives, offering practical advice that could
easily be integrated into daily routines.
Financial literacy, a crucial component of holistic wellness, was brought to the forefront by Felicia
Ogbonna. Her engaging talk on smart investing, budget management, and avoiding debt traps struck
a chord with many attendees, particularly those seeking to improve their financial well-being in a
world where financial pressures and peer influences are ever-present.
In a noteworthy addition to the conference, the Men’s Roundtable featured an open dialogue on
masculinity, partnership, and the importance of mutual support within relationships. The panel, which
included award-winning photographer Reze Bonna, comedian Mc Abbey, and Engineer Raphael
Fapponle, addressed critical issues such as overcoming bullying and the lasting impact of maternal
influence on sons. This session successfully challenged stereotypes and fostered a deeper
understanding of the dynamics within partnerships and families.
Parenting, another vital aspect of holistic well-being, was covered in depth by Phinnah ChiChi. Her
session provided valuable insights into modern parenting strategies, encouraging attendees to
unlearn outdated habits and embrace more effective and engaging approaches to raising children.
The conference also embraced the digital age, with Emeka Ebeniro leading a session on personal
branding and technology. His roadmap for building authority, leveraging artificial intelligence, and
amplifying unique voices online provided attendees with practical tools to stand out and thrive in
their respective fields.
Business and life coaches, Coach Joy and Naomi Brown, both based in Aberdeen, delivered
masterclasses on overcoming limiting beliefs, prioritising mental health, and achieving entrepreneurial success. Their sessions resonated with a wide range of participants, from aspiring
entrepreneurs to seasoned professionals, igniting a renewed sense of confidence and purpose.
One of the most inspiring moments of the conference came from Tolase Ilesanmi, a former attendee
who returned to share her journey of reinvention and career transition. Her story of finding purpose
and empowering others added a deeply personal and motivational dimension to the event.
As the conference drew to a close, host Shirley Fapponle unveiled an exciting roadmap for future
initiatives, including a Men’s Conference. This announcement underscored the continuous evolution
and expansion of the Holistic Wellness Conference as a platform for empowerment and
transformation.
Reflecting on the event, it’s clear that the Holistic Wellness Conference is more than just an annual
gathering; it has become a powerful catalyst for change, equipping attendees with the knowledge,
tools, and inspiration to thrive in all aspects of life. As participants left with new insights and renewed
purpose, the anticipation for next year’s conference and the impact it will undoubtedly have is already
building.
