H&R Insurance, Aberdeen’s last locally established Independent Insurance Broker, is delighted to welcome Mathew Johnston as Commercial Account Executive and Lynsey Yeats as Commercial Account Handler to the team. Between them they have 34 years of insurance industry experience. Mathew and Lynsey have both come from a well-established, previously independent insurance broker based in Angus.

Partner Shona Robertson said the recruitment comes off the back of a busy year for the business, including reaching its 50th Anniversary.

‘The recruitment environment is particularly challenging across our sector, it has been difficult to find individuals with the right experience and cultural fit to complement our existing team, so I’m really delighted to be able to recruit two experienced members to our team,” said Ms Robertson.

Together they will help service existing clients with day-to-day administration duties and deal with new enquiries coming in.

The new employees come off the back of a busy 12-month period for the company, which has seen organic growth of 13% in the year to December 2022, further demonstrating the desire for local businesses to deal with an independent locally based insurance broker.

‘I am proud to have such a great team, who work so hard day in-day-out to deliver the service everyone has come to expect from H&R Insurance.’ said Ms Robertson.
