HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering awarded Apache contract

An Aberdeen firm has won on a three-year service contract from Apache North Sea Ltd.

HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering (HVAC&R), part of the Nucore Group, will be providing preventative maintenance services for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment on eight North Sea assets, both onshore and offshore.

The scope of supply includes servicing and maintenance, legislative and compliance requirements for systems and HVAC equipment, remedial work scopes, as well as manufacturing services to replace any obsolete equipment.

Graham Thomson, Chief Executive Officer for Nucore Group said: “This is a substantial service award for our business and one which we have worked incredibly hard with the client to win and implement. As part of the deal eight employees will transfer under TUPE agreement to HVAC&R. Supported by existing HVAC&R staff and management, this team will help fulfil both onshore and offshore service delivery for the duration of the contract.

HVAC&R Engineering provides a range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and services primarily to the oil and gas, onshore petrochemical and marine sectors as well as manufacturing ATEX equipment for harsh and hazardous environments. Headquartered in Aberdeen it is part of the Nucore Group and operates internationally with customers in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the Caspian Sea, Central Europe, Africa and the Americas.
