A leading hydraulics specialist has unveiled a raft of key appointments as part of its ambitious plans for international growth.

Following the recent announcement that multimillion-dollar investment is planned to uplevel Saturn Fluid Engineering operations in Australia, Dave Mackay has been appointed to a business development role in the region where the naval defence and oil and gas decommissioning sectors will form the nucleus for the company’s growth.

With the Middle East also pinpointed as a key area for expansion, Anas Ahmad has been employed to lead business development while the appointments of UK-based chief financial officer Scott Davidson, global technical lead Mike Smith and Graham Forrest as the Type 26 Frigate project manager to support Saturn’s contract with BAE Systems on their 8 ship UK Type 26 and their Commonwealth Global Combat frigate build programs will further bolster operations at Saturn’s global headquarters in Dundee and Aberdeen.

In addition to its HQ in Dundee and facilities in Aberdeen, Saturn operates bases and facilities in Dubai, Canada, Singapore, Malasia and Australia.  The company’s global team of over 50 is committed to delivering top-drawer fluid management services and innovative solutions to a growing number of clients from across critical markets including marine, decommissioning, mining, oil and gas, food and beverage, power generation and chemical supply/development sectors and naval defence which accounted more than 60% of total revenues in 2024.
