The Igbo Community Aberdeen marked its annual Thanksgiving celebration with a heartfelt and vibrant service held on 29th December 2024 at St. Andrew’s Cathedral Church. The event brought together members of the Igbo community in Aberdeen and beyond for a day of gratitude, cultural reflection, and unity.

The Thanksgiving service was led by the esteemed Chairman of the Igbo Community Aberdeen, Edward Obi, who is also the Director of HR Hub Plus Limited and Peridot Recruit Limited, as well as the Founder of Diversity Bridge SCIO, alongside the dynamic Chairlady of the Women’s Wing, Nkem Nwobi. Together, they guided the community in celebrating a year of milestones, resilience, and collective achievements.

This year’s Thanksgiving was more than just a spiritual occasion—it was a showcase of the community’s enduring strength and commitment to preserving cultural heritage while fostering unity among its members. Attendees participated in uplifting prayers, traditional hymns, and cultural expressions of gratitude, underscoring the importance of faith and togetherness in achieving shared goals.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Edward Obi expressed his gratitude for the community’s unwavering support and dedication:

The Chairlady of the Women’s Wing, Nkem Nwobi, highlighted the role of women in driving the community’s success:
