Iain Henry, a well-known figure in the insurance sector, will lead MacKay Corporate’s expanded operations in Aberdeen. Iain was the Managing Director of Central Insurance Services, the largest independent insurance broker in Scotland, and led an MBO of the broker in 2008 before joining Marsh as Regional Director of Scotland. Iain became a Director of MacKay Corporate in September 2018 and will be joined by Margaret Fraser to run the Aberdeen office. Margaret and Iain have worked together for 20 years and are well known to their clients in the Aberdeen area.

Managing Director David MacKay comments: “As we see positive signs of the oil and gas market beginning to improve, and significant investment into the area, it is the right time for us to expand our operations in Aberdeen, and this latest move represents the strategic expansion of the MacKay Corporate brand across Scotland. I am delighted to have Iain on board and look forward to working together.

Having been to University in Aberdeen and started my working life here I am excited to be back in the city. I am looking forward to reacquainting myself with friends and old rugby colleagues from Gordonians who I played with in the past.”

Director Iain Henry adds: “At a time when lots of independent insurance brokers are being acquired by consolidated brokers, it is refreshing to be joining a successful independent firm that has aspirations to grow whilst remaining true to it’s core values of personal service and always doing what they believe is right for their clients. In addition to the oil and gas sector in Aberdeen there are strong signs of investment in infrastructure in the area, in particular with the AWPR project – there are huge opportunities for businesses in Aberdeen right now, and I am looking forward to reengaging with many former clients in the city.”
