An independent record shop with three locations throughout Scotland is preparing to launch its fourth outlet in Aberdeen next month.

Assai Records shared this news via social media, indicating that the new store will be located on Back Wynd, with job openings posted online.

Founded ten years ago on Dundee’s Union Street, the business has grown to include shops in Glasgow and Edinburgh over the years, with the team revealing that the plans for the Aberdeen location have been in development for three years.

Assai offers a variety of products, including vinyl records, CDs, and merchandise, and also hosts unique events such as artist signings and live performances.

In an Instagram post announcing the news, Assai stated: “New store announcement! After over three years planning, we are delighted to announce the opening of a new store in Aberdeen in November 2025.”

The record shop is currently seeking to fill positions such as store manager, sales assistants, and a social media assistant, offering a combination of full-time and part-time opportunities.
