Festival-goers will explore the city’s bars, restaurants and nightclubs to enjoy an exclusive and inclusive Inspired Nights signature drink list which will include discounts on mocktails and soft drinks.

They will also have VIP access to masterclasses, tastings and talks, as well as the chance to discover Nuart Aberdeen after dark, browse night street food markets on The Green and attend pop-up events across the city.

Nicola Marie Johnston, evening and night time economy manager for Aberdeen Inspired, said: “Aberdeen Restaurant Week was very successful earlier this year and we want to build on this and create a vibrant night time economy which showcases everything Aberdeen city centre has to offer.

“Similar projects have proved popular across the country, such as Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend which launched last year. Inspired Nights means the city and traders will benefit from a healthy increase in footfall and customer spending.

“Aberdeen city centre was recently awarded Purple Flag status for the fifth consecutive year, which means the city has been recognised for its commitment to promoting a safe and secure night-time economy whilst also promoting a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

“We are delighted with the initial reaction from local businesses and their enthusiasm and we want to encourage as many bars, restaurants and nightclubs to get involved and to get behind the festival.”

Festival wristbands will be available for purchase online and collected in person from the Inspired Nights Hub at Rye & Soda in the Academy.

They will give festival-goers access to the exclusive Inspired Nights signature drink menus and discount on food, events, talks and masterclasses across the city centre.

Adrian Gomes of 10 Dollar Shake, said: “We’re looking forward to playing our part during Inspired Nights this spring, which will give all the bars and restaurants in the city centre a platform to show off their creativity and passion.

“They provide a substantial contribution to the local economy and it’s great that Aberdeen Inspired is supporting this great initiative.”
