NHV’S Aberdeen Base Manager Jamie John says: “We are given gift tags for each child to receive a gift along with a note of their age and gender to allow our staff to buy presents based on the child’s criteria. Last year we managed to donate over 70 Christmas presents to local children during the worst of the Covid pandemic and this year we hope once again to be overwhelmed by our staff’s generosity to increase the number of gifts we can donate.”

Instant Neighbour is a local charity that has supported people in Aberdeen City and Shire for the last 35 years. As well as the ‘Giving Tree’ Christmas campaign, Instant Neighbour also supports people on low incomes to set up their homes through the provision of access to low-cost re-use furniture, white goods, clothing, foodbanks, and other useful resources as well as professional carpeting and joinery services.
