International energy consultancy Penspen is broadening its reach in the North-East with the successful acquisition of Aberdeen-based C&I Engineering Solutions.
Control and Instrumentation engineering consultancy C&I Engineering Solutions will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Penspen, with Grant Lunn leading as CEO, Derek Sives as COO, Richard Auld as the Technical Director, and Claire Macaulay as the Finance Manager forming the firm’s leadership team.

Penspen’s CEO, Peter O’Sullivan stated that the acquisition allowed Penspen to enhance its assistance to energy and utilities firms in the UK, by expanding its team with fresh, high-quality skills and attracting new clients to its portfolio in the UK.
He said: “The acquisition of C&I Engineering Solutions grows our team in the UK, broadening the support we can provide our clients, and enhancing our ability to achieve our vision, which is to improve access to secure and sustainable energy for the communities in which we work.

Penspen has a base at Aberdeen’s Queen’s Gardens and its headquarters in London, with offices also in the the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Latin America, and the United States.
C&I Engineering Solutions will continue to operate from its headquarters in Aberdeen’s Balmoral Business Park.
