INTERNATIONAL law firm Addleshaw Goddard’s corporate team in Scotland has advised on a significant Aberdeen sale as part of its completion of more than a deal a day across a busy December.
The team has provided support on some 30 deals including advising the shareholders of Aberdeen-based Motion Software on its sale to Ontario-based Jonas Software.

The deal will see the software specialist joining forces with an expanding and successful stable of customer-focused software providers and will allow the company to grow by accessing new markets and partnerships.
Addleshaw Goddard has invested significantly in the Aberdeen market this year with a move into larger office accommodation at Prime Four Business Park, allowing it to meet client demand while enjoying better connectivity to the AWPR and Aberdeen Airport.
The firm has also strengthened its Aberdeen team with five fresh appointments, further reflecting its ambitions, particularly in the energy and digital sectors.
David McEwing was appointed a partner in its Aberdeen energy team, joining from Pinsent Masons where he was named as a leading individual in Legal 500 UK’s Corporate and Commercial rankings in 2018, and has recently strengthened the team with the hire of two new recruits.
The firm has also welcomed employment specialist Robert Phillips as Legal Director from Burness Paull, and Associate Zoe Sutherland (banking). Addleshaw Goddard expects that growth to continue in 2020.
During 2019, the Energy & Utilities team advised Waldorf Production on the acquisition of oil firm Endeavour Energy UK with its interests in the UKCS.
