Dan will be responsible for setting up the new mooring equipment rental division to compliment the company’s ever-expanding marine service portfolio.

Speaking of the new division, Dan said, “Interocean previously offered an equipment rental service through third party suppliers, however, by investing in the right assets we are able to offer our customers a one stop service. This allows us to reduce the amount of contractors required, and in turn save customers time and money.

“This new venture was a natural progression for the company and allows us to project manage the whole process from start to finish, offering a reliable service and reducing mobilisation times for customers. Not only will our customers be able to rely on us to provide a full circle service, but they will also have access to the latest technology in mooring equipment.

“We plan to invest a large amount in the purchase of high value equipment with the objective of achieving an 25% increase in turnover. My role will be to develop strong supplier and customer relationships required to build the new division. I will work closely with our engineering team to identify customers that will benefit from the additional service.”

With over 20 years experience in the industry, working with Schlumberger, Western Atlas, Weatherford and most recently as Director at First Marine Solutions, Dan brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

Dan continues: “Building a new division will always be a challenge, however I am really looking forward to working with the board and the team to build a successful division for Interocean.”

Dan’s appointment comes shortly after the company joined forces with Rigmar, forming the Rigmar Group, a leading international provider of support services.

Keith Nelson, CEO, Rigmar Group, said: “Rigmar recently signed a multimillion-pound investment deal with First Reserve Momentum LP, which enabled the acquisition of Interocean. The two companies have worked together for a number of years and Rigmar is now able to add marine and mooring services to it’s list of specialist divisions, offering customers a holistic service, project managed from beginning to end.”
