A LEADING Aberdeen-based IT firm is celebrating a recent award win with the announcement that turnover is set to exceed £1 million for the first time this year.
Managed Services and Security Provider (MSSP) Alto has just been named one of the best places to work in the UK in 2023 thanks to The Sunday Times, powered by WorkL. The Sunday Times partnered with employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work. Using 35 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, the awards most accurately monitored employee engagement and wellbeing in the workplace.

Alto’s recognition in the category for companies with ten to 49 staff comes as the company unveils that it is on track to exceed turnover of £1 million this year, with work worth £400,000 already secured since the beginning of 2023.
Key to recent contract awards for the ISO-accredited company have been tax incentives to encourage investment in plant such as IT infrastructure and the availability of funding to help companies transition to cloud-based systems.
An ongoing programme of recruitment at Alto has seen the headcount reach 13, including the appointment of trainees in line with a company-wide ethos of creating opportunities which encourage the next generation into the IT industry.
