Alto’s recognition in the category for companies with ten to 49 staff comes as the company unveils that it is on track to exceed turnover of £1 million this year, with work worth £400,000 already secured since the beginning of 2023.

Key to recent contract awards for the ISO-accredited company have been tax incentives to encourage investment in plant such as IT infrastructure and the availability of funding to help companies transition to cloud-based systems.

An ongoing programme of recruitment at Alto has seen the headcount reach 13, including the appointment of trainees in line with a company-wide ethos of creating opportunities which encourage the next generation into the IT industry.

Commenting on the latest news, Alto Founder and CEO Bruce Skinner said: “Our entire corporate ethos is built on a relationship-based attitude so it’s natural that this should encompass our people as well as our customers.

“The recent award and the excellent growth trajectory we’re on both provide important endorsement of the positive impact our team creates internally and externally.”

With a team based in the North East of Scotland, Alto draws on many decades of experience to nimbly deliver high quality products and services to a growing portfolio of clients across manufacturing, food, energy services and healthcare.  With teams ranging from 20 to over 100, clients are located throughout the UK and in overseas locations including Spain, France, Denmark, Canada, the USA and the Philippines.
