JCE Energy, a division of JCE Group, has been shortlisted for the Climate Action Champion Award sponsored by Scottish National Investment Bank at the 2025 Scottish Impact Awards.

The awards, organised by The Herald, Newsquest Events and GenAnalytics, celebrate organisations across Scotland that are embedding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into their strategy and operations, making a measurable and positive contribution to people, communities and the planet. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 16 September 2025 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow.

Being named a finalist recognises JCE’s leadership in engineering renewable power solutions that meet the most stringent safety standards while driving meaningful reductions in carbon emissions. Alongside delivering innovative hybrid and solar systems for clients in offshore, industrial and community environments, JCE has also embedded sustainability across its own operations.

At its Aberdeen headquarters, the company has installed rooftop solar arrays, upgraded to energy-efficient LED lighting, introduced an off-grid EV charging station, and implemented waste-reduction and recycling initiatives that reflect its wider ESG commitments.

Marco Gheza, General Manager of JCE Energy, said: “We are honoured to be named as a finalist in the Climate Action Champion Award. This shortlisting reflects the hard work of our team, the trust our clients place in us, and our determination to engineer solutions that support a safer, lower-carbon future. To be recognised alongside other leading organisations is a great achievement in itself and reinforces our commitment to continual innovation in renewable power.”

The Climate Action Champion Award is one of six categories at the Scottish Impact Awards, each aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It recognises organisations that can demonstrate significant progress in reducing carbon emissions and advancing the transition to a more sustainable economy.
