THE new proprietors of a popular Aberdeen cafe have expressed their excitement for the upcoming “new challenge” in their initial business endeavour.
Colin Bell, 54, and Celeste Pastorini, 50, have acquired the Tartan Pig, situated on Hollybank Place in the city, from Greig Bain.

Mr Bain described having to put his cafe up for sale as being a “sad day”.
Ms. Pastorini, who has spent her career in the oil and gas sector as a senior petroleum engineer, is eager for a fresh start.
The entire team at Tartan Pig will remain employed by the couple, with plans to increase the seating capacity by adding more tables and encouraging more sit down customers.
The cafe is currently operational from 9am to 4pm every day, but the couple is looking to extend its hours and host events until 6pm.
Ms. Pastorini aspirations for the Tartan Pig are for it to evolve into a bistro and a venue for nightlife in the future, subject to the approval of Aberdeen City Council’s licensing regulations.
