Knight Property Group help build a better future with £9,000 donation

The Barrack Charitable Trust, funded by Knight Property Group, has donated over £9,000 to Business in the Community Scotland’s Paired Reading project.

Paired Reading brings business volunteers and schools, who work to improve standards in literacy by visiting schools to listen to and support children to read one on one. Business in the Community’s Senior Project Manager, James Tindell comments, “As well as improving children’s literacy, the programme also develops motivation, confidence and increases work ethic – tools which are as vital to children as reading”

Founder and Chairman of The Barrack Charitable Trust James Barrack comments, “The trust is always looking for new projects to support, whether it’s educational projects, charities or volunteering groups. Education is a fundamental building block to a child’s success and it’s important that we allow all children the same quality of education.”

Knight Property Group have also continued to support the Gordon Highlander Museum by part funding their Learning Manager role over the last 4 years. Bryan Snelling, Chief Executive of The Gordon Highlander Museum comments, “Knight Property Group are one of four local companies who have supported the Learning Manager role. Since hiring Alice Walton we have seen a considerable increase in the number of children and schools attending the museum.”
