Knowvate Hub is thrilled to bring its Ideation Bootcamp to Aberdeen this September. This initiative is designed to empower Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) entrepreneurs. Founded by Onyinye Igbokwe and Enoch Adeyemi, Knowvate Hub is dedicated to fostering diversity within the entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into successful businesses.

The three-day intensive bootcamp, organised in collaboration with the Royal Bank of Scotland, will take place from September 18th to 20th, 2024. The event aims to equip BAME entrepreneurs with the vital skills and knowledge required to launch and grow successful startups.

Emeka Ebeniro, Growth Marketer and Programme Coordinator for Knowvate Hub, expressed the bootcamp’s mission: “We aim to assist individuals in bringing their ideas to life and support early-stage founders in developing thriving businesses. By bringing industry leaders to Aberdeen, we intend to help these founders build scalable, technology-enabled businesses and highlight Aberdeen’s flourishing tech and business ecosystem.”

The bootcamp will cover essential topics such as ideation techniques, effective pitching, and business growth strategies. Participants will gain valuable skills in building a compelling brand identity, creating a lean business model canvas, and developing successful sales funnels, among other areas. This comprehensive approach ensures that attendees leave with a robust foundation for their entrepreneurial journey.

The event will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including:

– Dr. Yekemi Otaru, CEO of YO Ventures LTD and Chancellor at the University of West of Scotland

– Keye Oduneye, Communication Specialist, Transformative Leadership and Development Consultant

– Mandy Bailey, Accelerator Community Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland

– Enoch Adeyemi, Co-founder of Knowvate Hub

– Onyinye Igbokwe, Co-founder of Knowvate Hub

This initiative is timely, as diversity in entrepreneurship is increasingly recognised as crucial for innovation and economic growth. By focusing on BAME entrepreneurs in Aberdeen, Knowvate Hub addresses a significant gap in the local startup ecosystem, contributing to a more inclusive business landscape.

The Ideation Bootcamp Programme in Aberdeen is supported by key players in Scotland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Startup Grind Scotland, Codebase, Scottish Edge, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. These partnerships enhance the resources available to participants, providing access to a broader network of support and opportunities.
