A major new electric vehicle charging hub is set to open in Inverurie, bringing the town’s largest EV charging facility to Constitution Street beside Farmfoods.
The eight-bay hub features 150kW ultra-rapid chargers which allow most EV drivers to ‘charge and go’ in around 15 minutes, based on industry accepted charging session data. Conveniently located a short distance from the A96, the site provides easy access for both local residents and through-traffic in Aberdeenshire.
The charging hub, developed by Source, offers contactless payment options and 24/7 customer support, with an emphasis on user-friendly design and is powered by renewable energy, reflecting Scotland’s commitment to clean energy solutions.

The hub is situated in a prime location less than a two-minute walk from Inverurie’s traditional high street, with Farmfoods on-site and other amenities including M&S Foodhall, New Look, Poundland, Bank of Scotland, and various food outlets in close proximity.
Source plans to deliver 300 new ultra-rapid hubs across the UK and Ireland over the next five years, with the Inverurie site representing the company’s continued investment in Scottish EV infrastructure.
