The Law Practice announces new ownership

Aberdeen-based solicitors and estate agents, The Law Practice, has announced that local solicitor, Lesley McKnight, has taken over ownership of the company.

As principal solicitor, Ms McKnight brings over 10 years of experience to The Law Practice, having held a variety of senior positions throughout her career, including four years with Balfour and Manson. Most recently she held the position of senior solicitor at Ledingham Chalmers, where she focused upon private client services.

Ms McKnight succeeds Margaret Waldron, who stepped down from leadership of the firm earlier this year after establishing it in 2005. In her new role, Ms McKnight will be responsible for the continued growth of the firm.

Commenting on her new role, Ms McKnight said: “When first meeting with Margaret there was a clear synergy between us; we have the same core values and our future goals are in line with each other.

“Margaret has dedicated 12 years to building a reputable and fantastic brand; with client care at the forefront, the team prides themselves on dedication and enthusiasm, and –  most importantly – making a difference to people. It is crucial to me that this message is carried through into the future.

“I am delighted to be leading The Law Practice at such an exciting time for the business and I am very much looking forward to working with the team to provide our clients with a service that is unique to Aberdeen.”
