International oil and gas company GEOLOG is spreading festive cheer this holiday season by sponsoring Befriend a Child’s annual Christmas Party once again in 2024. For many of the children supported by the charity, Christmas can be a challenging time of year, making the party an event they eagerly look forward to.

This year’s party, hosted at The Altens Hotel, promises an unforgettable experience. Children and volunteers will enjoy festive games, a traditional Christmas dinner, and a visit from Santa, who will bring gifts for each child to take home.

GEOLOG’s support extends beyond the holiday season. Throughout the year, the company has continued its commitment to Befriend a Child by funding significant updates to the charity’s facilities on Bon Accord Square.

Alistair Gray, Region Managers for Northsea at GEOLOG, said: “Through the GEOLOG Foundation, we strive to make a positive impact on communities worldwide, with a special focus on supporting children and young people. Our partnership with Befriend a Child is one we deeply value, as it allows us to help improve the lives of children in the North East of Scotland. We are proud to support their initiatives, especially during the festive season.”

Sarah Misra, CEO of Befriend a Child, added: “Our continued partnership with GEOLOG is invaluable. Many of the young people we support face significant challenges and don’t have access to the opportunities others take for granted. GEOLOG’s support not only brings festive joy through the Christmas party but also strengthens our ability to provide year-round care and opportunities that truly make a difference.”

The partnership between GEOLOG and Befriend a Child shows how businesses can make a real difference, helping to create brighter futures for local children.
