Five associates from Aberdeen and Inverness were promoted to senior associate at the start of this month.

They are Jennifer Cham and Nicky Nicolson from Aberdeen’s corporate and residential property teams respectively, along with three Inverness colleagues — Elisa Miller, commercial property; Andrew Stott, corporate; and Sine Mackay, employment.

Also from 1 April, Amy Dignan from the firm’s litigation team in Edinburgh made the move up from senior solicitor to associate, as did granite city-based Emma Somerville, from the family law team, and Emma McNay, from defender reparation.

Across all four offices, the firm’s headcount is 151, including 30 partners.

Chairman and partner Jennifer Young said: “These well-deserved promotions are first and foremost recognition of the considerable talent of each of these lawyers.

“We continue to be rated by clients — and in the respected Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 directories — as outstanding in our field.

“As such, these promotions are also an acknowledgement of the important role all eight have played over the past year as we continue to focus on sustainable growth for the firm: standing ourselves apart from our competitors and positioning ourselves as somewhere people want to come and work.”
