Cala Homes (North) has supported Banchory Community FC with the donation of a defibrillator and cabinet, installed outside the changing rooms at King George V Park, after the previous equipment was damaged.

This donation ensures that football players of all ages can continue to enjoy playing the sport with the reassurance that the life-saving equipment is there in case of emergency.

The new equipment was provided by the team at SMG Safety and will replace the older, outdated defibrillator previously located at the park.

The donation falls under part of the housebuilder’s community pledge, which is Cala Homes’ commitment to investing in local communities in the areas in which it builds.

John Anderson, coach at Banchory Community FC, says: “We have around 500 players, from younger children to under 18’s, who enjoy football on these playing fields so it’s incredibly vital to have this equipment in place not only for those playing but for the hundreds of spectators that visit on a regular basis.

“We’re hugely grateful to both Cala Homes and SMG Safety for this incredibly generous donation, helping to keep our players and our community safe.”

Jacqui McPherson, Sales Advisor at Cala Homes (North), said; “We’re always passionate about taking care of the communities in which we build and as soon as we heard that Banchory Community FC needed some help with new equipment, we were happy to support them.

“We hope that this new equipment helps bring reassurance to the club and the players at the park.”
