Professor John Underhill the University of Aberdeen’s Interdisciplinary Director for Energy Transition, said: “Scholarships can be an important lifeline providing crucial financial support to enable students to undertake courses, concentrate on their studies and enhance their study environment. They are also hugely beneficial to the donating company, offering a unique opportunity to invest in an individual to realise their full potential.
“These scholarships face a wide range of our programs, underlining their relevance to industry, and are a wonderful example of how we are working with industry to attract and develop the talented students who will lead the energy sector as it decarbonises and transitions in the decades to come.”
MSc Integrated Petroleum Geology student Katrina Court, the 2022/23 recipient of the NEO Energy Postgraduate Scholarship, said: “I would like to thank NEO for not just the financial support the scholarship provides but also the access to their wonderful mentoring programme which made a huge difference to me.
