A local IT firm is preparing to mark its tenth anniversary by announcing the dawn of a new era in service provision which is creating new jobs in the North East.
Aberdeen-based Alto has moved its support desk facility from Wales to be in-house at its city HQ. The move has been assisted by £50,000 funding from Barclays and has already created three new jobs. It is likely to lead to at least three more new positions before the end of the year. The firm used to operate under the Pisys.net banner.

The managed service provider business was founded in 2009 and recently changed its name to Alto. It is based in Tullos and employs a team of experienced specialists who deliver high quality products and services to more than 50 clients throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Current customers represent a diverse range of sectors ranging from oil and accountancy, to hospitality and toy manufacture.
Commenting on the news, Director Bruce Skinner said: “We want to continue build a business that we’re proud of and, as we prepare to mark our tenth anniversary, we stand poised at the beginning of a new chapter. We are delighted to be creating new jobs in the North East and our new name is an important representation of our refreshed approach as we enter our second decade in business.”
Fellow Director Andrew Mein added: “We very much view the customer as part of the team, and vice versa. This strategy has always been very important in ensuring that we provide solutions which are bespoke, efficient and work in step with the business needs of the individual client. In short, our name might be new but our methodology and experience isn’t.”
