Aberdeenshire North and Moray East MP Seamus Logan has announced his latest initiative aimed at channelling more lottery funding to the North East.

The SNP MP will be hosting a free online event in association with the People’s Postcode Lottery on Friday 5 September 2025 at 2.00pm.

Virtual funding workshops are a chance for good causes and community groups in Aberdeenshire North and Moray East Constituency to find out about how to apply for funding raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

These include grants awarded by People’s Postcode Trust, Postcode Community Trust, Postcode Local Trust and Postcode Neighbourhood Trust.

Commenting, Seamus Logan MP said:

“I’m always keen to look at ways of encouraging more funding applications from community groups and organisations to take advantage of what’s available and ensure that North East communities benefit as a result.

“I’m therefore delighted to secure the services of the People’s Postcode Lottery for what should be a very useful event.

“People’s Postcode Lottery staff will deliver the funding workshop online.  This will include an explanation of the funding available as well as best practice in putting in an application.

“It also provides practical tips and shows example of what to do – and not do – in the application process.  After this, there is an interactive question and answer session, and at the end individuals can speak to PPL staff on a one-to-one basis if they have additional questions.”

For more information and to RSVP by Thursday 4 September, please email [email protected] noting name, organisation and email.  Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
