A dedicated supervisor at Specsavers Stonehaven successfully raised more than £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to her heart.

Lottie Webster, supervisor at the locally owned and run store, located at 33 Market Square, Stonehaven, completed her first Hyrox at Glasgow’s SEC Hydro, in a time of one hour and twenty-eight minutes. Competing with partner Jack McBay, the pair entered the competition with the commitment to fundraise for the charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support has spent over one hundred years supporting those with Cancer and their families, and provides fundraising assistance, care and key worker support, and services for those living with cancer.

Lottie chose to compete as a fundraiser for the charity as the cause is particularly close to her and partner Jack’s hearts.

‘Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support is incredibly rewarding,’ says Lottie. ‘Competing in a Hyrox event is a challenge in itself, but even more so with the goal of raising as much as we could for such a wonderful cause’.

Lottie continues, ‘Our initial goal was to raise £800, so to raise £1,283 is such an achievement. We’re so grateful to all who supported us in this challenge.’

Lottie’s role as supervisor in the Specsavers Stonehaven store allows her to see firsthand how tailored support can make a difference to someone diagnosed with a life changing condition or disease.
