A local opticians has generously donated protective sports goggles to the Bervie Caley 2014s Football Club, helping to ensure young players can take to the pitch with confidence and improved eye safety.
The donation from Specsavers Inverurie will support the team moving to 11 aside games. The specialist sports goggles, which were needed by the team, are designed to provide impact resistance, a secure fit, and clear vision during fast-paced matches.
Ashleigh Wood, retail director at Specsavers Inverurie, said the decision to support the team was driven by a desire to give back to the community.
‘Good vision plays a crucial role in both performance and safety in sport,’ says Ashleigh.
‘We’re proud to support Bervie Caley 2014’s and to help ensure that children who need vision correction can play without worrying about damaging their everyday glasses or risking injury.’
Bervie Caley 2014s Football Club coach, Ian Lemmon, expressed the team’s gratitude for the donation.
In Case You Missed it:

‘These sports goggles mean our players can focus on the game, improve their performance, and most importantly, stay safe.’
Sports goggles are specifically designed for active use, protecting the eyes from accidental knocks.
Specsavers Inverurie hopes this donation will raise awareness of the importance of eye protection in youth sport and encourage parents to seek professional advice if their child needs prescription eyewear for physical activities.
