This winter, Specsavers Inverurie demonstrated their commitment to supporting the community by donating care packages to the Inverurie Community Trust, helping individuals who may be experiencing poverty or homelessness during the colder months.
This will be the second time the locally owned and run store, located at 4 Station Road, has partnered with the charity, following on from its work to deliver free eye and ear health checks and glasses to those who use the Community Trusts’ services in the autumn of last year.
The winter care packages included essential items to provide warmth and comfort to those in need, including hats, gloves, socks, and reminders of the free eye and ear health checks provided by Specsavers. All of which have been distributed by the Community Trust.
The initiative comes at a crucial time, as many face increased hardship during winter due to harsh weather conditions and rising costs.

‘Supporting our local community is incredibly important to us’, says Ashleigh Wood, retail director at Inverurie Specsavers.
‘We see first-hand how vital access to basic essentials can be for health and wellbeing, and we hope the donations will help make winter a little easier for those who need it the most’.
