CANCER charity Maggie’s is calling on people to raise £100 and take part in its annual
Culture Crawl – a sponsored walk with access to local hidden cultural gems in the city.

Last year, the Aberdeen Culture Crawl was the biggest and most successful in the UK with over 600 people taking to the streets. But due to social distancing a different approach has had to be taken this year.

Supporters are instead being asked to raise £100 between now and September 25 – by running, walking, cycling, baking or in any other way imaginable – to gain access to an exclusive virtual culture crawl.

It will feature celebrities, music and short films from incredibly cultural venues across the UK and abroad, which can be enjoyed with family from the sofa.

Kevin Mathieson, Maggie’s Aberdeen Centre head, said: “We all know how life has been impacted by the coronavirus this year and it is still a particularly difficult time for those living with cancer, so we are asking people to help them get the support they need by signing up to our Virtual Culture Crawl.”
