He said:  “I am absolutely delighted to be recognised and it is testament to the hard work of the whole team.

“It has been a pretty challenging few months but we are still here which is the main thing.

“We have some good work with companies in China and South Korea which is not bad for a company based in the Lang Stracht.”

The event was held virtually for the first-time in its history due to Covid restrictions.

Graham said:  “It was good but a bit strange sitting watching the event in my daughters living room.

“I told the host Grant Stott it was the first time I’d collected an award in my socks.”

Raymond O’Hare, head of the judging panel, said: “The judges were impressed with the steps taken by Graham to underpin the commerciality of Glencraft, securing its future in the process.

“At the same time, further development and innovation with its luxury mattress has seen international sales and royal recognition.

“Graham has overseen a period of significant change, with the organisation evolving from being a worthy cause into a world-class business. He achieved this while retaining the support of a complex group of stakeholders.”
