MTS has grown its range of safety risk management services in recent years. The new partnership with Matrix Risk Control will allow it to further extend its training and consultancy provision by providing access to specialist incident investigation courses and live investigation support.

Headquartered in Aberdeen, Matrix Risk Control provides training and support services surrounding root cause analysis, incident recording and incident investigation to an international client base. The company regularly delivers training in the Middle East and Africa and formalised a partnership arrangement with the New Zealand-based Incident Prevention Group (IPG) in the latter part of 2016. The US agreement with MTS will provide Matrix’s existing American clients with an immediate point of contact in the country and enable the company to strengthen its presence there.

Alan Smith, operations director, Matrix Risk Control said: “Matrix already enjoys a number of excellent client relationships in the USA and we are keen to build on this positive activity. By working with MTS, we can provide these clients with more localised, responsive support when they require it.

“MTS is also confident that Matrix’s approach to incident investigation management and training will be of interest to organisations within its existing client networks. We are therefore looking forward to establishing new links and relationships as a result of our agreement.”

Ralph Blessing, chief, support operations, MTS added: “My own background is in root cause analysis training and I have long been aware of Matrix Risk Control, its service offering and its high standards of professionalism.

“There is most certainly an appetite here for Matrix’s specialist incident management and investigation provision. This formal agreement will allow us to work together more closely to bring this provision to the attention of our clients at MTS – and to a wider audience in the US.”
