The SDI trade mission takes place from 19-24 March 2017. It incorporates a series of meetings with organisations based in Beijing and Shenzen, as well as attendance at the China International Petroleum and Petrochemical Exhibition (CIPPE). Matrix will form part of a group of 14 Scottish companies that will be hosted on the Scotland pavilion at the exhibition, which is held in Beijing from 20-22 March.

CIPPE is one of the largest petroleum exhibitions in the world and is expected to attract around 2,000 exhibitors from 65 nations and up to 80,000 visitors. As a booth holder on the Scottish pavilion, Matrix will benefit from up to 12 pre-arranged meetings with local industry representatives throughout the course of the event.

Mhorvan Sherret, commercial director, Matrix Risk Control said: “This trade mission to China provides us with a series of opportunities to meet with key organisations, through organised workshops, matchmaking meetings and roundtable sessions.

“The itinerary has been planned to make maximum use of our time here – and the warm introductions are a welcome bonus.

“Matrix is currently developing new online training provision, which will be marketed to a global audience. These e-learning modules will ultimately be translated into Mandarin and we hope to use our visit to promote this development and secure early interest.”
