McGill’s Group officially launched its latest addition to the Fly coach network last month, with a new direct service connecting Aberdeen city centre to Edinburgh Airport, now operating daily since Monday the 28th of April 2025.
Building on the popularity of its Dundee to Edinburgh Airport service, the new Fly Aberdeen route marks a key milestone in the transport group’s mission to offer seamless, affordable and high-quality travel across Scotland. The service operates from the bus stop on Littlejohn St, opposite Smoke & Soul’s The Fire Pit.
Fly Aberdeen operates eight services in each direction daily, running from central Aberdeen to the terminal doors at Edinburgh Airport. With a journey time of approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, the schedule has been designed to align with peak flight times, offering connections that cater to early morning and late-night flights.
Owned by Scottish entrepreneurs Sandy and James Easdale, McGill’s Group continues to expand its presence across Scotland’s transport sector. Its Fly brand, now well-established through services from both Dundee and now Aberdeen, reflects the company’s ongoing investment in sustainable, comfortable, and convenient travel.

Fly Aberdeen tickets are available to book online in advance, with return fares starting from £43 for adults and £30 for children. Concession card holders, including YoungScot and Saltire card users, travel for free with a £1 booking fee. Booking ahead is advised to secure preferred departure times.
