LEARNING technology provider Mintra has reached the pinnacle of success within its sector after being awarded Gold Standard accreditation from the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI). The company, which supports the training and competency needs of safety-critical organisations worldwide, achieved 100% attainment across eight key performance indicators audited by the LPI.

Mintra has 11 years of continuous accreditation from the LPI – an organisation recognised as the leading global authority for workplace learning and development – but this is the first time it has been awarded with the highest possible Gold Standard.  In 2019 and 2020 Mintra was also featured in the LPI’s Top 15 Learning and Technology Providers.

Auditors noted that Mintra showed a corporate and individual intent and enthusiasm to continue to develop and expand learning modalities and to leverage emerging technologies. Ed Monk, CEO of the LPI, said: “Learning technology providers operate in a highly competitive space; they must ensure their products are accessible, stable, high-performing, compliant, scalable, and rich with reporting functionality.

“Achieving LPI accreditation at Gold Standard is a superb achievement and puts Mintra right at the forefront of business excellence as a technology provider and is an endorsement of its continued dedication to quality of service and innovation. I have no hesitation in recommending Mintra to prospective customers looking for an exceptional learning technology provider.”

The accreditation covers all aspects of Mintra’s capabilities, including its platform technologies such as the learning and competence management system Trainingportal, crew management software OCS HR and IMIST Online, which provides industry standard safety training for the energy sector. Off-the-shelf digital content and bespoke eLearning content and development services were also scrutinised.

It was noted that the usability and responsiveness of Mintra’s learning platforms, along with their functionality, integration, support and scalability was of the highest standard and very well suited for intended audiences. Materials for learner self-study were highly polished and professional.

Content and learning solutions were shown to demonstrate features which delivered significant benefits to the learner experience, while the approach to eLearning was described as ‘innovative’. Auditors felt the design of eLearning was effective, engaging and expertly designed to meet the specific needs of the learning agenda, and Trainingportal was a leading-edge portal and LMS platform delivering a well-defined and media-rich learner journey.

Auditors reflected on the strong consultancy culture within the business, with effective processes and governance of assignments providing consistency to all client solutions. The high level of client relationship management to ensure positive outcomes was also recognised.

Mintra learning and development director Janet Donaldson said the organisation was incredibly proud to achieve the Gold Level accreditation. She added: “It is a testament to the work that is carried out across the board at Mintra.

“In addition to auditing our technologies and content, auditors also examined all other areas of our operation from people development to business integrity. To achieve a score of 100% across all KPIs in the eight areas of scrutiny is a phenomenal performance.

“Mintra has a team of extremely talented, dynamic people who are widely recognised for creating high quality and impactful learning solutions. They are among the best in the digital learning business and this accreditation – the highest possible accolade within the industry – reinforces that.”
