MODOSPEC, a Vysus Group company, is delighted to announce the award of a contract to provide rig intake and inspection services for two offshore drilling rigs in Malaysia, on behalf of an International Oil Company (IOC).

The contract, worth over £300,000, will entail ModuSpec supporting the intake and acceptance of a 7th generation ultra deepwater drillship and cyber jack-up drilling rig in Q1 2024.

ModuSpec will assess both rigs’ readiness to commence contract, including the drilling, electrical, control, marine, well control and station keeping systems. The ModuSpec team will conduct a thorough review of equipment certification, the maintenance management system and assess compliance towards international standards as well as inspecting and witnessing equipment function testing.
