Belhaven venue closes 14 September; reopens in October with upgraded bar, interiors and air conditioning

Molly Malones, the Irish bar on Aberdeen’s Union Street, will close on Sunday 14 September for a major refurbishment backed by a six-figure investment. Operator Belhaven plans to reopen the venue in October.

The project includes new flooring, furniture and themed décor, alongside a redesigned bar to increase space and improve speed of service at peak times. The upgrade will also add full air conditioning across the premises.

On reopening, the pub will resume its live sport offer and entertainment programme, with an expanded range of draught premium and craft beers, wines and soft drinks, alongside food service. Customers can check bookings, opening hours and updates via the Molly Malones website.
