Links Lodge Dental Practice in Montrose has been acquired by multi-site operator Dr Naga Narra, ending 27 years of ownership by Dr Iain Campbell and Dr David Gibb.
The mixed-income practice, which operates from a 140-year-old former merchant’s house on John Street, has eight fully equipped surgeries and serves approximately 13,400 patients. It has developed a strong local reputation for patient care within the Angus coastal town.
Dr Campbell and Dr Gibb acquired the business in 1999, after it was brought to market the previous year. During their ownership, they expanded the practice from five surgeries to eight, while investing substantially in its facilities, technology and patient services.
The pair decided to sell as part of their retirement from practice ownership, although they will continue to work clinically at Links Lodge following the transaction.
The sale was handled confidentially by Joel Mannix, director of dental at business property adviser Christie & Co. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Dr Narra’s acquisition of Links Lodge Dental marks the purchase of his fourth practice. He said he was drawn to the business because of its established reputation, patient loyalty, community presence and scope for future expansion.
He plans to build on the foundations created by the former owners by maintaining the standard of care, enhancing the patient experience and widening the range of treatments available. Potential new services include dental implants, orthodontics and facial aesthetics.
Dr Campbell and Dr Gibb said: “We acquired Links Lodge Dental Practice in 1999 and have spent the last 25 years growing and investing in the business, expanding the premises, modernising facilities, and building a strong team to support an ever-growing patient base.
“Following a rewarding and successful period of ownership, we feel the time is right to pass the practice on to new owners who can build on the strong foundations we have created.
