“New Deer Show is an important tradition in the agricultural calendar, with over 175 years of history behind it.  The Committee do a tremendous job of work in organising the event and setting it up and it is thoroughly deserving of the support of the community.

“I had a useful meeting with local members of NFU Scotland.  A wide range of issues and challenges were discussed, including seasonal workers and new entrants, and I hope to be able to take some of those forward with Ministers.
