Aberdeenshire North and Moray East SNP MP Seamus Logan has welcomed the latest round of lottery funding which sees a local community association receive funding from the National Lottery’s Community Fund.
Welcoming the funding award, Mr Logan congratulated the organisation and said he is keen to encourage more applications from local groups to get more lottery money coming to the North-east.

“I am delighted for the community of Portknockie whi are receiving £10,000. This is a substantial award which can make a real difference to the local community.
“I’m always keen to look at ways of encouraging more funding applications from community groups and organisations to take advantage of what’s available and ensure that North-east communities benefit as a result. As a first step, I am happy to provide a letter of support for constituted groups who are making or considering making funding applications.”
Portknockie Community Association SCIO received a £10,000 grant, which the group will use the funding to decorate their hall in Portknockie and purchase 20 new tables.
