Aberdeen’s flagship Marks and Spencer store’s top floor has been reopened, months after storm damage and just in time for a final Christmas before the store closes in 2025.

Now maintenance work is complete, the floor is once again offering a wider range of fashion, homeware, beauty, and gift options across the store.

The first level remains sealed off, with hoardings blocking off the shop floor.

The re-opened second floor will host kids wear, menswear, Travel Money, and a pop-up café which sells cold food, with cakes, pastries and sandwiches on offer.

Luke Smith, Store Manager at M&S Aberdeen, commented:

“Our team has worked tirelessly to bring back our upstairs shopping experience for the holiday season. Customers can now explore a wider range of products and enjoy the convenience of our express coffee shop. From festive treats to holiday feast essentials, we’re ready to make this last Christmas at St Nicholas Street extra special.”

The much-anticipated Christmas shop and M&S Christmas Food To Order collection desk will be located on the ground floor.

In the new year, M&S will wrap up works on the £15 million expansion of its Union Square store is on track to open in late spring 2025. This expansion will make it the fourth largest M&S store in Scotland and will feature a spacious, market-style food hall with a variety of new features, including a flower shop, cheese barge, in-store bakery, and M&S Wine Shop. The store will also have larger clothing, home, and beauty departments.
