Marks and Spencer has confirmed the closing date for its Aberdeen Stoneywood foodhall, bringing an end to a decade of trading at the site.
The supermarket’s foodhall, which first opened in 2016, will shut its doors for the final time on Saturday, 15 August 2026. Shoppers have been advised to collect any food orders before the store closes, with the final collection date set for Thursday, 13 August.
In a post shared on the store’s Facebook page, M&S told customers: “We will be closing our doors on Saturday 15th August 2026. Your closest M&S where you can pick up your Foodhall favourites will be M&S Bridge of Don, M&S Westhill and M&S Union Square!”
The announcement follows earlier confirmation that the Stoneywood branch was no longer considered viable by the retailer. M&S said the store did not fit with its future vision for store formats and would require further investment.

The Stoneywood foodhall is the latest Aberdeen M&S site to be affected by the retailer’s wider shake-up in the city. Earlier this year, the company completed the transformation of its Union Square store following the closure of its St Nicholas Street foodhall.
For shoppers in the north-east, the Stoneywood closure means the nearest M&S foodhall options will be at Bridge of Don, Westhill and Union Square once the final shutters come down.
