OILFIELD service company Three60 Energy has secured a multi-million-pound deal to provide of duty holder services on the Intrepid FPSO offshore in the Philippines.

The Aberdeen-headquartered business will carry out operations and maintenance (O&M) duties on behalf of the Joint Venture which owns the Galoc field.

The contract win is set to create 15 new jobs across the UK, Philippines and Malaysia.

It is Three60’s first duty holder O&M role outwith the UK North Sea.

Walter Thain, Three60 Energy chief executive officer, said: “To have been selected to operate and maintain the FPSO Intrepid, our first international Duty Holder O&M services award, is a really important strategic milestone for the business.

“As well as providing important recognition of our growing reputation for, and competence in, the provision of O&M services, it also highlights the increasing demand we are seeing for our wider late life asset management capabilities, leadership experience and passion for differentiated, safe delivery – both for ongoing operations and future decommissioning activities.”

Last month, the firm, based in the city’s Regent Road, said it aimed to add 50 new staff members globally over the next 12 months.
