The event will include a hole-in-one competition, with the prize of a £15,000 kitchen from John Willox Kitchen Design up for grabs on the 11th hole. Other prizes of up to £1,500 are available on the remaining Par 3s.

A new putting competition and hickory knockout have been added to this year’s event list as well as a longest drive and closest to the pin contest.

Spectators are invited to attend the competition which will also have a beer tent and a BBQ available for people to enjoy.

Event organiser Drew Leith praised the tremendous response from participants and continued to appeal for sponsors to make the event an even bigger success.

He said: “Having PTS Services as our main sponsor for a second consecutive year and for the 35th anniversary of Ellon’s Pro Am is fantastic along with John Willox Kitchen Design who has kindly sponsored our hole-in-one events again.

“The huge response we have received so far to this year’s event has been great and has allowed us to make further improvements to the success of last season.

“We are looking for sponsors for areas such as the putting green and for the clubhouse, both inside and outside, which would allow the event to grow even further.

“More than 80 competitors, including professionals, are set to play in what should be a tremendous day of fun for Ellon and the wider community.”
