The first event will take place at Fraserburgh Campus on 24 May and will be followed on 25 May at the City Campus in Aberdeen. Both sessions will run from 8.15 to 9.30am.

Applications are currently open for the 2021/22 fund, with free training available to Apprenticeship Levy payers as well as SMEs – providing options for every company of any size.

A range of courses dedicated to upskilling and reskilling have already been accessed by North East businesses as part of the current round of financial support.

Training must be contractually agreed by 31 July 2022 and start by 31 August 2022. The College allocates funds on a first-come-first-served basis.

Duncan Abernethy, NESCol’s Director of Business Development, said: “There has been strong interest in the FWDF this year and with the deadline rapidly approaching we are keen to ensure the opportunity is not lost for businesses keen to access free training.

“Our team will be on hand to outline the wide range of training options available as well as to explain the process and to talk through the next steps. It is important those conversations start now to meet the summer deadlines.

“The business breakfasts will also provide a networking opportunity and a forum for North East companies to help shape the training agenda for the region and we’re looking forward to what promise to be excellent events at Fraserburgh and in Aberdeen.”
