THE Aberdeen real Living Wage Action Group are proud to invite employers from across the North East to a networking and panel event on Thursday, November 7 between 10am – 11.30am, at the offices of AAB at Prime Four, Kingswells.

This event is part of the Action Group’s celebration of Living Wage Week as they continue their ambition to increase the uptake of the real Living Wage and Living Wage accreditation in Aberdeen and beyond.

There will be a dynamic panel of speakers from real Living Wage and Living Hours employers who will share their accreditation journey and the benefits they are now experiencing. Speakers include CFINE, AAB, Living Wage Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and others.

Living Wage Week is the annual celebration of the commitment employers across Scotland have made and continue to make to the real Living Wage. We know that times are hard for many employers across the country and the Living Wage movement seeks to recognise and celebrate those who go above and beyond. Despite these challenging times, employers continue to ensure their staff are paid a rate of pay which meets the rising cost of living,

There will be ample opportunity to network with real Living Wage employers from across the region as well as organisations who are considering accreditation or have begun the process.

The Aberdeen real Living Wage Action Group seeks to increase the number of accredited Living Wage employers across the city, ensuring more workers are paid the real Living Wage.

Since its launch in 2022 the city has seen a significant growth in the number of accreditations and the Group is proposing extending the work to include Aberdeenshire.
