New chairman for subsea energy storage company

ABERDEEN subsea energy storage company EC-OG has appointed Bob MacDonald as chairman.

Bob, who has nearly thirty years’ experience across the energy tranition and industrial markets, was previously chief executive officer of the Specialist Technology Solutions (STS) business for Wood.

He said: “EC-OG’s target market within energy transition will grow exponentially over the next few years, driven by demands from regulators and public sentiment.

“EC-OG have excellent products, a great team and an impressive track record. I’m thrilled to be able to bring my experience to the business at this exciting time in its development.”

EC-OG, based in the Innovation Park, Bridge of Don, manufactures innovative energy storage and management technologies that provide cost-effective, low carbon solutions across multiple sectors.
